Built on Trust, Loyalty, and Genuine Partnership
The story behind Kyro Coastwise Consulting—and why relationships matter more than revenue.
I'm a sales consultant based in Wilmington, North Carolina. I help home services businesses increase their deal closure rates, develop reliable sales strategies, and build confidence in selling—all without feeling pushy or salesy. My clients enjoy steadier revenue and stronger customer relationships as a result of working with me.
However, before I tell you about what I do, I need to introduce you to Kyro.
Why “Kyro”
Kyro was by my side for over a decade, through all of life's ups and downs.
He never judged. He never wavered. He just showed up. Every single day.
When Kyro passed 10 months ago, I lost a true friend who defined loyalty for me.
Here's what Kyro taught me about business:
Consistency matters more than flash.
Kyro didn't need to be the loudest dog in the park. He just needed to be there. That's how I approach consulting—showing up consistently, doing the work, building trust over time.
Loyalty is earned, not bought.
Kyro's loyalty wasn't transactional. It was built through years of care, trust, and mutual respect. That's the kind of client relationships I want to build.
Presence matters more than perfection.
Kyro wasn't perfect (he had his quirks), but he was present. Fully there. That's how I show up for my clients—not as some guru who has it all figured out, but as a partner who's genuinely invested in their success.
When I started this business, naming it after Kyro felt like the right choice. This isn't about chasing revenue or scaling to 7-figures. It's about building something meaningful—just like the relationship I had with him.
My Journey to Sales Consulting
I spent 10 years in B2B sales in Raleigh and Wilmington, North Carolina. I worked in distribution, building relationships with business owners, learning how to close deals, and—most importantly—figuring out what actually works versus what sounds good in a sales book.
Here's what I learned:
Sales isn't about manipulation. It's not about "crushing objections" or using psychological tricks to get someone to say yes. That might work, but it undermines trust in the long run.
Real sales is about:
Understanding what someone actually needs
Being honest about whether you can help
Building trust through transparency
Following through on what you promise
Showing up consistently, even when it's hard
Over the past 10 years, I have built genuine relationships with clients. They kept coming back—not because I was the cheapest or the flashiest, but because I was reliable, honest, and looked out for their business interests.
Eventually, I realized that most small business owners struggle with sales because they were craftsmen of their trade first and needed their sales skills refined. On some occasions, they were winging it. They employ tactics that don't align with their personality. They're leaving money on the table because they don't have a system.
And that's where I come in.
How I Work With Clients
I'm not here to sell you a magic formula or promise you'll 10x your business overnight. That's not reality.
Here's what IS real:
If you're getting leads but not closing enough of them, I'll help you identify the specific reasons—such as awkward pricing conversations, inconsistent follow-up, or ineffective lead qualification. By addressing these issues, you'll improve conversion rates, reduce lost opportunities, and gain a clearer, more reliable path to growing your sales.
I help you solve these sales challenges so you can convert more leads into loyal customers, increase your revenue, and build a repeatable system that grows with your business.
Together, we'll review your sales process, pinpoint what's losing you deals, and create a system tailored to your business and approach.
No generic templates. I offer practical and honest strategies that help you close more deals in a way that suits your style.
My Philosophy:
✓ Relationships over revenue — I value long-term, trusting client partnerships over many short-term sales.
✓ Authenticity over tactics — Sales should feel genuine. We'll develop an approach that fits you.
✓ Sustainability over hype — I focus on lasting, practical growth, not quick wins or trends.
✓ Partnership over transactions — Your success is my goal. We grow together.
Why Wilmington?
After years of working between Wilmington and the Triangle, I moved here 3 months ago. Having grown up partly in the Outer Banks, I value small, local communities and support local businesses in the area.
Working with Wilmington ventures allows me to see the real-world effects of my efforts. Collaborating with local clients, running into them at the grocery store, and celebrating their wins fosters a stronger, more supportive local economy. Every success story here contributes directly to the vitality of our community.
That's why my consulting focuses on Wilmington and North Carolina establishments. My goal is to help local businesses thrive, strengthening our economy and environment so that genuine, lasting relationships are always at the heart of what we do.
Beyond Business
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the beach, collecting driftwood, and supporting local businesses, as well as spending time with my family.
